Atlas-hoops.com was founded in 2002 by Coach Ed Atlas,
of Camp Springs, MD. Atlas-hoops
gear was designed by Ed Atlas who saw the need for a new
brand within the market to provide ballers with an alternative to
the brands that have been dominating the shelves for years.
Selling t-shirts with the Atlas-hoops logo allowed for enough
money to be made to create an official website. For now the
main focus of Atlas-hoops is to keep on providing ballers with top
quality and stylish gear to rock on and off the court. We
also provide one on one and small group basketball mini
shooting clinics, coaching and consulting with great
customer support.
Coach
Ed Atlas played as a youth in Hempstead, Long Island, NY in
the shadows of the former ABA's New York Nets and NBA legend, Julius
"Dr. "J" Erving. Coach Atlas has played
and coached for over 23 years on U.S. Army post and
company level basketball teams in DC, VA, NC, SC, OK, TX, Korea,
Italy and Turkey (including one semi-professional season in
Istanbul, Turkey). He also played on 1994 and 2003 DC
NBA Hoop-it-Up Division Championship teams. Coach Atlas has
coached on the elementary school level, YMCA, US Army Dependent
Youth Activity leagues and for Silver Hill, MD Boys
and Girls Clubs.

and expertise Atlas-hoops has established a business relationship
with our customers that will last a lifetime!
A portion of proceeds
are contributed to the Homes for Our Troops organization.
